Computational Resources

SWESRC

Summary

Resources per team

  • Virtual Machine (VM) assigned per team

Resource Access

  • ssh-access via ssh-keys

Resource management

  • Each team manages their resources within their assigned VM.

Software management

  • Teams will get sudo-access on their VM such that they can manage their

required software independently.

Documentation

  • None available at this stage.

Support

  • Inquiries may be sent to contact@swesrc.org

Resource location

  • Sweden

Technical specifications

Overview

Per user resource

  • Teams will be provided with a VM the specifications of which can be

negotiated depending on available resources.

Software installed

  • Different operation systems for the VMs are possible (e.g. Rocky9,CentOS 7, Ubuntu 20.04 amongst others)

  • Team-specific software needs to be installed by the teams themselves.

Volume of resource

  • sweSRC can host up to 10 teams depending on resource requirements.

  • Assigned VMs will remain active for 2 months after the deadline of SDC4.

GPUs if any

  • L40S

  • Tesla T4

User access

Open the accounts

Logging in

  • Users will be informed of the IP-address of their assigned VM after

which they can log in via ssh.

  •  We prefer a single point of contact for each team. The team 'leader'

will be responsible for user management on their VM.

Authentication

How to run a workflow

  •  Teams define their own workflows. sudo access ensures full control

over the VM.

Software management

  • sudo access allows teams to handle their own software.

Containerization

  • Teams can run both docker and singularity containers of their VM.

Documentation

  • None available at this point.

Resource management

  • Each team manages their resources within their assigned VM.

Support

  • Inquiries may be sent to contact@swesrc.org

Credits and acknowledgements

  • Teams are requested to acknowledge the use of resources at sweSRC as

indicated at https://swesrc.org/acknowledgements/
